The standard sync could not post the brand's mix of DTC, gratis and wholesale orders the way its accountants needed.
What we built
Built a custom connector registered as its own Intuit app. DTC orders, including gratis, synced in full. Wholesale orders booked cost of goods as a journal entry at the moment of shipment, not at invoice. When the brand later moved to the native integration, we built a Cin7 report that found every order caught between the two methods so finance could close the gap.
Result
  • DTC and wholesale posting rules the native sync could not handle
  • A clean cutover report when the brand changed methods

Each Shopify order arrives in Cin7 Core as its own sale, and channel revenue was posting to the wrong accounts in QuickBooks.
What we built
Wrote accounting reclass scripts that run against Cin7 Core and move sales and cost of goods to the right channel accounts before they sync, built around the one order per Shopify order structure the brands rely on.
Result
  • Channel revenue and cost of goods land in the right accounts
  • Running in production for two brands

Cin7 Core, two Shopify stores, QuickBooks and Bill.com disagreed, and the books could not be reconciled.
What we built
Mapped the Cin7 chart of accounts to QuickBooks, wrote a corrector script that reclasses revenue and cost of goods across channels, split source of truth between Bill.com and Cin7, set daily consolidation across both stores, added purchase invoice authorization and landed cost rules, audited account assignment SKU by SKU, and trained the team on the new production flow.
Result
  • One set of rules across two stores and four systems
  • Production purchase orders restructured so vendor bills stop arriving at zero

Cin7 Core and QuickBooks Online were not reconciling, and finance could not trust either system.
What we built
Rebuilt invoice, cost of goods and credit note mappings, added an invoice authorization gate, cleaned up the integration end to end and handed over to the team and its outside accountants. Stayed on to reconnect QuickBooks when authorization lapsed and clear stuck orders.
Result
  • Stabilization finished in about five weeks
  • Ongoing support handled the next problems as they came up

Orders from major prestige and department store retailers arrived by EDI and had to be shipped and invoiced in Cin7 Core by hand.
What we built
Built an automation that takes EDI orders confirmed by the 3PL and ships and invoices them in Cin7 Core. Failed orders retry every hour, and Canadian retailer invoices now add 13% GST/HST automatically.
Result
  • Five figure retailer orders processed in a single run
  • Canadian tax applied without manual edits

The brand was opening retail accounts that require EDI and wanted wholesale orders from Faire in the same place.
What we built
Connected Cin7 Core to retailer EDI through SPS Commerce with orders flowing through the 3PL, kept Shopify and Cin7 inventory in sync every hour with safety stock held back, and wired Faire orders through to the warehouse with tracking coming back.
Result
  • Test orders for two national retailers ran end to end
  • Hourly inventory sync with safety stock

Cin7 Core wired into a new 3PL's WMS API

The brand was implementing Cin7 Core while moving to a 3PL whose WMS had no ready connector, with retailer EDI orders in the mix.
What we built
Chose to build instead of buying middleware. Specified and built five operations against the 3PL's WMS API: outbound orders, bulk order status with tracking, an hourly pull of retailer EDI orders, inbound ASNs and receiving results, plus a retailer to brand SKU translation.
Result
  • Orders, receipts and tracking in one loop
  • No middleware subscription

The brand needed Cin7 Core, Shopify and its 3PL connected before it could stop running inventory by hand.
What we built
Built and tested the 3PL to Cin7 and Shopify to Cin7 connections, loaded bills of materials and opening inventory, and set up a review filter that catches orders blocked on inventory.
Result
  • Cin7 Core live with inventory matched to the warehouse count
  • Blocked orders surfaced in one filter instead of hidden
